Toronto’s Social Media Week

Social Media Week Toronto (#SMWTO), independently organized by Pinch Social, is part of a vast network of global Social Media Week conferences and events taking place throughout the year around the world.

Following last year’s successful run Toronto, Social Media Week will return again to the city, (November 12 – November 15, 2019) along with cities around the world including London, Zurich, Manila, Holland, and many others.

Toronto’s Social Media Week is independently organized by Pinch Social Inc., under the leadership of Social Media Strategist Michelle Pinchev, along with a dedicated team of staff, partners, advisors and volunteers.

Pinch Social is a boutique social media and content marketing agency based in downtown Toronto providing social media management, creative content, strategy, training and consulting to organizations, as well as event production services.

Social Media Week is a leading worldwide conference that brings together thought leaders and practitioners to explore how social media and technology are changing business, society and culture around the world. LOCATION & PROGRAMMING

SMW Toronto takes place at multiple venues around the downtown core, with the majority of content taking place over 2 full “conference” days at a large theatre venue (e.g. TIFF Bell Lightbox or CBC Glenn Gould Studio) with networking, exhibit areas, etc. Other past venues include Twitter Canada, Google, YouTube Space, Shopify, the Thompson Hotel, the Spoke Club and countless others.

2019 Locations:

Our 2 mainstage event days (Tuesday, November 12th & Wednesday, November 13th) will take place at CBC Glenn Gould Studio, located at 250 Front St W, Toronto, ON M5V 3G5.

Our 3rd day of programming (Thursday, November 14th) will take place at HQ (The Creative Innovation Studio at Ryerson University), located at 110 Bond St Toronto, ON M5B 1X8.

Our opening night party will be held, on Tuesday, November 12th at the Thompson Hotel, located 550 Wellington St W, Toronto, ON M5V 2V4.

Additional venues will be announced during the weeks leading up to the event.
