As social media marketers, influencers, media, and consumers, we’re on our feeds day in and day out. How does “feed culture” impact our minds – in terms of focus, concentration, memory and overall mental performance? What is the impact of social media on sleep quality? And how is all that FOMO and constant stream of carefully curated (often inaccurate) picture-perfect lifestyle imagery impact our mood and our self-esteem?
In this session, we’ll sit down with Hoame and Ease Inc. co-founder, Carolyn Plater and Sacred Breathwork facilitator, Brandon Wong, to talk about the impact of social media on our minds and mental health, as we explore evidence-based strategies to minimize the negative effects and restore our moods and mental performance.
Brandon Wong | Sacred Breathwork Facilitator
Brandon has been meditating ever since he was a kid getting bullied on the school playground. He discovered he was a deeply intuitive and energetically sensitive child, so his parents introduced him to many mindfulness and Buddhist practices. Since then, Brandon has become a Sacred Breath facilitator, a Reiki Level 2 practitioner, has spent time in India and Thailand participating in many 10-Day silent meditation retreats, and is currently studying Shamanic healing modalities somewhere deep in the forest. He just wants everyone to all get along like we used to in middle school.
